What is a discount voucher?

A discount voucher is a simple lever for generating more orders: your customers enter a promo code during checkout and automatically receive an instant discount, which is shown directly in the shopping cart before the payment is completed and deducted as a reduced amount from the total price.

The voucher can either grant a fixed amount (e.g. €10) or a percentage discount (e.g. 10%). This way, you increase purchase intent, average order value and customer loyalty with a clearly communicated added value.

How do you use discount vouchers strategically?

In the voucher management, we can configure discount campaigns precisely to match your goals:

• Define value & type of discount – fixed amount or percentage discount.
• Set the validity period – perfect for time-limited offers and campaigns.

Please note: In addition to vouchers, there are also discount vouchers with different tax rules. While discount vouchers reduce the net value of goods and thus the VAT, value vouchers only reduce the outstanding payment amount at the end of the checkout process and are treated like a partial prepayment.
